StarHub appoints Terry Clontz as its new chairman | Singapore Informer

SINGAPORE: Local telco StarHub has appointed its former CEO Mr Terry Clontz as its new chairman from Wednesday (Jul 15). 

He takes over the reins from Mr Tan Guong Ching, 68, who is retiring. Mr Tan was first appointed to the Board on Aug 8, 1998 and became the company’s non-executive chairman from Apr 1, 2001.

Mr Clontz, 64, is currently the senior executive vice president of North America and Europe Operations at Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte Ltd. He is also a senior corporate advisor to the Temasek Holdings International group.

He joined StarHub in January 1999 as its first president and CEO until his retirement in January 2010.

During his term as CEO, Mr Clontz had merged StarHub with Singapore Cable Vision in 2002. He also led StarHub’s public listing on the Singapore Exchange in 2004.
