Property giant CapitaLand has achieved international recognition for two of its Singapore developments at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Awards 2015.
CTBUH is a Chicago-based association, widely recognised as the authority on tall buildings around the world.
CapitaGreen, a new Grade A premium office building in the central business district was awarded the CTBUH 2015 Best Tall Building Award for Asia & Australasia Region. The 40-storey, 242-metre building was completed in December 2014.
Residential development d’Leedon in prime District 10 was a finalist in the Urban Habitat Award category. The iconic 99-year leasehold condo was completed in October last year and comprises 1,703 apartments and 12 semi-detached houses.
CapitaLand has won five CTBUH accolades since 2013.
Meanwhile, the HDB project Sky Terrace @ Dawson was a finalist in the Tall Building category. Located in Dawson Estate, the five-building complex is connected by skybridges while interconnected loft units allow for flexible living arrangements.
The awards were judged by a panel of global industry leaders. This year’s selection was the most competitive yet, with winners selected from a pool of 123 entries, up nearly 40 percent from 2014.
