SEA Games: Shooting win makes it Singapore's 70th gold medal | Singapore Informer

SINGAPORE: The gold-medal-winning effort by the Singapore men’s trap team has made it a total of 70 gold for the nation at the 28th SEA Games, far surpassing its previous record of 50 set in the 1993 SEA Games.

In the shooting competition on Friday (Jun 12), the team of Choo Choon Seng, Lim Hejun and Mohd Zain Amat scored 343 points to finish top in a field of five teams. Teams from Malaysia and the Philippines won the silver and bronze respectively.

On Friday, taekwondo exponents Chelsea Sim and Kang Rui Jie also took home a gold medal each, while wakeboarder Sasha Christian also won a gold in her event.
