School's out: 7 things to do this June holiday | Singapore Informer

SINGAPORE: It is that time of the year when school-going children rejoice: The June school holidays are back.

From May 30 to Jun 28, there are a slew of activities to look forward to. From the action-packed to the thought-provoking, for the nature and animal lovers to nostalgia seekers, there is something for both kids and parents this month.

Here are seven suggestions to get the ball rolling:

The Little Prince exhibition

See characters from the cult favourite book The Little Prince come alive in this exhibition, which pays tribute to its author Antoine de Saint-Exupery through a showcase of all-white sculptures.

Part of annual French cultural festival Voilah!, the The Little Prince in the Dark exhibition lets visitors discover the story through their sense of touch, and by listening to audio versions of the book. The exhibition is held at Alliance Francaise de Singapour, and will last till Jun 20. It is open from Monday to Friday, 11am to 7pm, and 11am to 5pm on Saturdays.

Battlestar Galactica

Thrill-seekers have another reason to scream these school holidays, as Universal Studio Singapore’s Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs CYLON roller coaster reopens after 22 months. Touted as the world’s tallest dueling roller coasters, the ride features new two-seated vehicles for “a more intimate and personal ride experience”, according to Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

RWS is offering a special One-Day Pass allowing access to other new rides such as the Puss in Boots’ Giants Journey ride, a free meal, as well as a special gift worth S$68. More details can be found on the RWS website.
