Singapore CBD – Singapore Picture

Singapore CBD

Modern monstrosities, a.k.a. skyscrapers rise heartlessly behind Singapore’s colonial past in modern Singapore’s CBD. (Central Business District). The row of villas you see in the background form part of Singapore’s Colonial Quarter and were once warehouses. There are several waterfront cafes which open in the evening. We visited in the morning, had to catch a flight later in the evening, so had to satisfy ourselves with this picture from the other side of the Singapore River. Pictures and more note appear in my 2009 set. (Aug. 2002)(Loss of colour and quality due to scan from print: photo was taken on 35mm film).
