London and UK wide £Competitive plus benefits What do you think of when we say apprenticeships? Unpaid training? No job at the end? Not for people like you? Think again. There are plenty of myths about apprenticeships, but none of them are true at Barclays. After all, this isn’t your average Apprenticeship. That’s because at Barclays, we believe there’s no such thing as your average Apprentice. With us, you can be anyone. We mean it. Any age. Any background. Any experience. You might have a mental or physical disability. You might be 16 or 65. Unemployed or ex-military. A retiree or a returning parent. As long as you’re over 16, there’s no qualification we ask for – our Apprenticeships are open to you. But with our net cast so wide, what exactly are we looking for? In a word – potential. To apply for our Foundation programme, all we want is people with a little bit of spark – the will to succeed, even if no-one’s given you that chance so far. No qualifications or experience necessary. And for our Higher programme, aside from your ambition, all you’ll need is 80 predicted UCAS points (or 200 achieved pre-2017) or a year’s work experience. That’s all you need to start your journey with us. And it really is a journey. After your initial Apprenticeship, you might move onto a more advanced programme, or you might move into a full-time role with us. And whatever you do, wherever you’re based in the UK, you’ll earn a competitive salary and gain a new qualification – from A Levels to degrees and professional qualifications. If that sounds like a lot to handle, don’t worry. As you get stuck into life at Barclays, you’ll have our unreserved support at every turn – helping you train (or retrain), study, and build on your skills. And if you’ve got a disability, we’ll make sure you have everything you need to succeed, even at application stage. What’s more, whoever you are, you’ll be part of a cohort going through the same experience as you. You’ll support each other, grow together, and achieve some brilliant things for our bank. How do we know? Because our Apprentices aren’t your average Joe. And this isn’t your average Apprenticeship.
