OF THE regular writers to The Straits Times’ Forum page, 150 came together on Thursday night for a dialogue session hosted by The Straits Times editor Han Fook Kwang and The Straits Times Forum Page editor Yap Koon Hong.

Speaking on the prerogative of The Straits Times in editing forum letters, Mr Han explained: ‘We want to try and publish as many letters as possible in the limited space we have, so many times, we need to shorten your letter, many times we need to correct for grammar, and to make the points clearer.’
