Singapore isn’t Communist
I’m moving to Singapore in December this year. Got an English teaching job there. Also doing some business work too (writing English documents/letters for companies etc) Can’t wait to move there. Went for a 4 week holiday there earlier this year, very clean (too bad it rained 80% of the time) lol
I think Thailand is great country to travel because it is Developed.I want to come back again.

yes. almost every singaporean can speak English especially the young ones. but we have our own style of English called, Singlish.
I may be living for a year in Singapore. Would I be able to enjoy an ordinary lifestyle there only knowing English?
if we all stop being so negative, then this earth will become a better place. Start off with yourself. Don’t judge other people or government so negatively without knowing the truth, the law and the intentions of their actions. Just knowing small piece of the big truth doesn’t count either. All states has their flaws and good sides. Because a government rules different than yours doesn’t mean that its bad.

Look at what britain is… freedom of speech…. rubbish economy now… tubes always failing… many riots.. heavy racism and in huge debts…. many crimes.. people are getting worst… Why do you reckon the europeans.. migrate to become expatriates of asia like HK or singapore….. sorry but unless you live long in a shittier system , you would not appreciate the better of your own country… i used to hate singapore but think of it… they have security… peace… and its works like swiss
As a resident of Hong Kong, I think Singapore is a good city-state with a strong economy and identity. But if they really want to be a role model for other cities in Asia, they have to scrap their mandatory military service policy and stop using capital and corporal punishment. They also have to ensure freedom of speech in the press and the media, and stop censoring and banning media specific topics that the government doesn’t want to be known and discussed by the public.
